The Classic Yacht Association offers several membership classifications, depending boat ownership and, if you own a boat, the type and age of your boat. 

  • Classic:  Boats built prior to 1/1/1943 that meet the CYA Member Boat Requirements;
  • Vintage: Boats built on or after 1/1/1943 and prior to 1/1/1960, that meet the CYA Member Boat Requirements; 
  • Associate: Prior Classic or Vintage Members who no longer own a qualifying boat
  • Affiliate: Persons or organizations with  an active interest in CYA and its objectives and/or do not own a boat that meets the CYA Member Boat Requirements

To join the Classic Yacht Association, please contact the Port Captain for your area (or the region where your boat is berthed), the Membership Director, or the Commodore (contact information is provided to the right); 

Normally your Port Captain or sponsor will work with you to complete the application which will include photos of your boat, a historical summary of your boat, and a check for the initiation fee (currently $145).
